A legendary fall
As I sit here tonight listening to the rain hit the roof of my cabin on the Missouri river I reflect. What A great season of dry fly fishing it was. I got back from the keys july 1st and the runoff was still raging, and when it stopped I had the most epic hopper season in my life. It was almost unbelievable. We met alot of new friends this year and showed them some fantastic fishing. Those of you who know me, will not believe I spent more days on the Clark Fork than my beloved MO. On my personal guide days it was normally like 85% MO 15% other and this year it was 70% other 30% MO. It was just THAT good. Tomorrow is my last day guiding for freshwater this year and it will be on the Mo. Hell, I feel like ive neglected her this year. So I'm gonna guide like it's 1999. I leave Sunday for the lower keys again. The big 3 are waiting and I am ready to greet them again. It's strange how you can be in two places at once, two people at once, but I know I hear the salt calling...............Thanks again Montana for a great season, in a word it was EPIC.
ps if anyone actually reads this and would like to try their hand at the salt game give me a call 406.544.2135

The year of the Flood
High water has been the theme as of late. We have been guiding on the Missouri and a couple of sleeper spots and the fishing has been very good. The water is finally starting to fall and the fishing will come into shape quickly. The high water early will mean dynamite fishing from now til the snow flies. Big fish and no fires is always a good thing. There are still dates available and it's easier to get to Missoula than ever. Let the Five Valleys crew plan the fishing vacation you have always dreamed of. All you have to do is show up and fish. Tight lines.... Brandon 406.544.2135 www.fivevalleysfishing.com

Great Summer Season Ahead
Fresh back from the Florida Keys, we are looking forward to a Fantastic summer in Montana. It's time to put away the toad flies and break out the cdc dries. I am really looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. In a matter of days I went from poling some of the worlds most productive flats to rowing on one of its most fabled rivers. Sometimes I just stop and think "what a life!" It wasn't long ago when we were biting our nails this time of year when runoff was ending. It sucks to wonder if you are going to have enough water in August, or if the state will become a fiery inferno. NOT THIS YEAR. There is still lots of snow, tons of water and as a result fat happy fish. This means the fishing will be incredible if not a bit late. So get ready it's coming. We still have openings available and would love to set up your trip. Come see what dry fly fishing is all about in one of the finest dry fly fisheries on the planet.
